Chris McDaniel is the worship pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Dalton Georgia. Chris is also the ministry leader for their Celebrate Recovery program. Liberty Baptist believes in Chris’s music evangelistic gifts and they allow Chris to still be a part in many crusades and revivals. Chris McDaniel was the staff music evangelist at Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. Chris was very instrumental in helping Oakwood launch a new campus as the worship leader. That campus currently runs over 600 in attendance. He also helped them launch their Celebrate Recovery program over nine years ago and has seen many people set free from addictions.
Chris was formerly with the award winning multi platinum selling country group Confederate Railroad. He spent 16 years with the group until 2000, where he found himself in the middle of a $70,000 a year cocaine addiction. He went into rehab where he admitted he had a problem and was in need of a Higher power. He got out of rehab, and found himself at Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison TN where he heard a message on Jer. 29:11-13. Convicted by the word of God, he was led to the altar by one of God’s saints, where he totally surrendered to Christ.
After serving as pianist at a local church for two years, Chris stepped out to share his testimony and music Jan. 19th 2003 in Atlanta GA. After that date he knew his life would never be the same.
Chris was called out to share the testimony of Gods’ grace and love to a lost and dying world. His music reaches all generations and he is being used all over the country. He has worked with three prison ministries, Nascar, and the National Barrel Racing Association, and is a speaker and worship leader for Celebrate Recovery and Teen Challenge. He has shared the pulpit with many of today’s greatest preachers and evangelists such as Junior Hill, Johnny Hunt, Ted Traylor, Bill Stafford, David Jeremiah, Herb Revis, and many others.
Chris has also shared the stage with many of todays greatest Christian singers, David Phelps of the Gaither vocal band, Clay Crosse, Jars of Clay, Big Daddy Weave, Barlow Girl, Chris Rice, Natalie Grant, and Charles Billingsly. Chris has had the honor to be a part of Ronnie Hill Ministries, leading worship for many of his crusades and revivals across the United states and in Nicarauga. He is also a part of Ronnie’s Three Minute Story.Com. In 2008 the website had 3,207 decisions for the Lord Jesus. In 2009 Chris’s testimony as added along with five others all from different backgrounds to reach a variety of people groups.Chris also has his testimony on Come On Let’s Go a billboard evangelistic campaign put together by J103, a Christian radio station in Chattanooga that has over 50 different stories of the power of God to change a life.
Chris has also worked with Across Festivals and Big God conferences as a speaker and as a musical guest for his friends Dean and Gayna Forrest. He has also had the honor to sing at Bailey Smith’s Real Evangelism conferences He has also been a speaker and singer at many pastors conferences and evangelism conferences including the state conference in Mississippi.Chris is also involved with many mens outreaches such as wild game dinners and car shows. Although Chris gets to share his story and sing in all kinds of venues, his favorite place to minister is the local church. His love for God’s people is evident and his gift of encouragement is God given. He has a passion to see the lost meet his Jesus.
Chris is married and resides in Rock Spring Georgia with his wife Renee and their three children Rylie, Gage, and Brayden.
